Terms of Service
Effective date: July 13, 2026
These Terms are an agreement between you and Jorge Collinet, the individual operator of Your Rides (“we”, “us”). They cover the Your Rides web app and mobile app (together, the “Service”). By creating an account or using the Service you accept these Terms. Contact: [email protected].
1. The Service
Your Rides lets motorcyclists record GPS ride tracks, plan and share routes, and connect with other riders through follows, kudos, groups, and events. The Service is currently provided free of charge. A guest mode is available without an account; guest data can be merged into an account you create later.
2. Eligibility and your account
You must be at least 16 years old and legally able to enter into these Terms. Keep your credentials secure — activity under your account is your responsibility. You can delete your account at any time in the app (Profile → Account → Delete account); deletion is immediate and permanent, and removes groups and events you created.
3. Riding safety — read this one
Your Rides is an enjoyment and record-keeping tool. It is not a safety device and must never be treated as one:
- You ride at your own risk. You alone are responsible for your riding decisions, your speed, your machine, and your compliance with all traffic laws. Always prioritise the road over the app.
- Routes we suggest — including “curvy” or scenic route options — are suggestions for enjoyment only. They are built from third-party map data that can be wrong, outdated, or incomplete: a suggested road may be closed, unpaved, dangerous, or illegal to ride. Curviness scores describe scenery and riding pleasure, never a safe or recommended speed.
- GPS positioning, recorded statistics, and any spoken prompts are approximate and can be inaccurate or unavailable. Do not rely on the Service for navigation in situations where an error could cause harm, and never use it for emergencies.
YOUR USE OF THIS REAL TIME ROUTE GUIDANCE APPLICATION IS AT YOUR SOLE RISK. LOCATION DATA MAY NOT BE ACCURATE.
4. Your content
You keep ownership of everything you post or record (rides, routes, posts, messages, images). You grant us the license needed to host, display, and share that content according to the visibility settings you choose. You are responsible for what you post: no unlawful, infringing, harassing, hateful, or deceptive content, and no content that encourages dangerous or illegal riding. We may remove content or suspend accounts that break these rules, and we respond to reports from other users. To report content, use the in-app report options or email [email protected].
5. Acceptable use
Don't abuse the Service: no unauthorised access attempts, scraping, reverse engineering of the backend, interference with other users, automated bulk activity, or use of the Service to break the law. We may suspend or terminate accounts that do.
6. AI features
Parts of the Service — such as the route-planning assistant — are powered by artificial intelligence. When you use them, your messages and relevant trip context are processed by our AI provider to generate the response; they are not used to train AI models. AI features are clearly presented as such, and by using them you accept that:
- AI output can be wrong. Generated route suggestions, descriptions, and answers may be inaccurate, outdated, incomplete, or entirely invented. Everything in Section 3 applies with full force to AI-suggested routes: they are suggestions for enjoyment, not verified navigation, and you alone are responsible for checking them against reality and riding lawfully and safely. AI output is not professional, legal, medical, or safety advice.
- You are responsible for your inputs and your use of outputs. Do not use AI features to attempt to generate unlawful or harmful content, to harass others, or to circumvent the Service's rules; we may suspend accounts that misuse them.
- Third-party AI assistants: if you connect an external AI assistant to Your Rides (for example through our MCP interface), it acts on your account with your authorisation. We are not responsible for the behaviour of third-party assistants or for what they do with data you allow them to access; review their terms before connecting them.
- Availability: AI features are provided as-is, may be rate-limited, and may change or be withdrawn at any time.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, we accept no liability for decisions made — on the road or elsewhere — in reliance on AI-generated content.
7. Intellectual property
The Service, its design, and its software are our intellectual property or that of our licensors. Map data and map tiles belong to their respective providers (© OpenStreetMap contributors and others) and are subject to their licenses.
8. Disclaimer of warranties
The Service is provided “as is” and “as available”, free of charge, without warranties of any kind to the maximum extent permitted by law. We do not promise uninterrupted availability, error-free operation, or that recorded data will never be lost — keep your own exports of anything you cannot afford to lose (GPX/KML export is built in).
9. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, we are not liable for indirect or consequential damages, lost data, or damages arising from riding decisions, route suggestions, or inaccurate location data. Nothing in these Terms limits or excludes liability that cannot be limited or excluded under applicable law — including liability for intent or gross negligence, or for injury to life, body, or health, where such law applies. Mandatory consumer-protection rules of your country of residence remain unaffected.
10. Indemnity
If a third party brings a claim against us because of content you posted or your breach of these Terms, you will, to the extent permitted by law, indemnify us for the resulting costs and damages.
11. Apple App Store terms
If you use the iOS app downloaded from Apple's App Store, the following also applies:
- These Terms are between you and us only — Apple is not a party to them and is not responsible for the app or its content. Apple has no obligation to provide maintenance or support for the app; we are solely responsible for support, warranty claims (to the extent not disclaimed — in case of failure to conform to a warranty you may notify Apple and Apple will refund any purchase price), product claims, legal or regulatory compliance claims, and third-party intellectual-property claims relating to the app.
- Your license to the app is limited to a non-transferable license to use it on Apple-branded devices you own or control, as permitted by the App Store Usage Rules (including access by family-shared accounts).
- You represent that you are not located in a country subject to a U.S. Government embargo or designated as “terrorist supporting”, and that you are not on any U.S. Government list of prohibited or restricted parties. You must also comply with any applicable third-party terms (for example your mobile data plan) when using the app.
- Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these Terms and may enforce them against you upon your acceptance.
12. Changes and termination
We may update these Terms; material changes will be announced in the app before they take effect, and the effective date above will change. We may discontinue the Service or parts of it; if we ever do, we will give reasonable notice so you can export your data.
13. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Czech Republic, without prejudice to the mandatory consumer-protection laws of your country of residence.
